C\u2019est deux fois plus qu\u2019en 1997. L\u2019augmentation la plus sensible se situe \u00e0 Bruxelles (de 112 \u00e0 371). Les motifs de renvois sont principalement les \u201c incivilit\u00e9s \u201c (41,7 %), les violences physiques entre \u00e9l\u00e8ves (12,4 %) et les violences graves envers un enseignant (11,5 %). Il est difficile de dire si une telle augmentation est due \u00e0 une recrudescence r\u00e9elle de la violence scolaire ou \u00e0 une plus grande s\u00e9v\u00e9rit\u00e9 des \u00e9tablissements. Quoi qu\u2019il en soit, un renvoi scolaire constitue un \u00e9chec m\u00eame s\u2019il est \u00e9vident que l\u2019\u00e9cole ou l\u2019enseignant consid\u00e9r\u00e9s ne sont pas forc\u00e9ment responsables. On ne peut en dire autant du syst\u00e8me \u00e9ducatif qui le g\u00e9n\u00e8re.
